Cowboys tight end Dalton Schultz sat out for the last OTA practice in response to the lack of progress in his contract talks with the team.
Tom Pelissero of NFL Media reports that Schultz will be in attendance when the Cowboys take the field for minicamp on Tuesday.
Dalton Schultz and the Cowboys have until July 15th to reach agreement on a deal before Schultz full guaranteed $10.9M salary locks in for the 2022 season.
Opinion: ZAC LEE
Schultz will be upset but the Cowboys are not going to get a deal done with him before the July deadline.
I don’t believe they have interest in signing him to a long term deal, but rather use him as a rental to get Jake Ferguson and others up to speed.
After this season he will likely price out of the Cowboys range.
