Zac’s Bold Prediction: Who Will the Cowboys Select in the First Round of the 2022 NFL Draft?

The 2022 NFL Draft is officially here.

By the end of the night, the Dallas Cowboys could have a new member of the team ready to make an impact this upcoming season. We have all read mock drafts, and scouting reports and targeted our favorite player for the Cowboys to take in the first round.

Who will the pick be? Chris Olave? Jameson Williams? Kayvon Thibodeaux? Kenyon Green? Zion Johnson? The possibilities are endless, especially with the news that Dallas could be looking to move up.

Before I get this article started, go ahead and drop a comment at the bottom of the page and tell me who you think the Cowboys will take in the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft.

With the 24th pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, the Dallas Cowboys select Offensive Guard Kenyon Green, Texas A&M.

The need is there. The interest is there. The player will most likely be there.

The Dallas Cowboys have been dropping nuggets all offseason that they will target an offensive lineman when it’s their turn to select. They let Connor Williams go in free agency, have yet to sign a starting left guard, and hosted two of the top guards (Zion Johnson and Kenyon Green) for 30 visits.

My gut tells me that the Cowboys want to get bigger and stronger across the offensive line. Dak Prescott does his best work with a clean pocket that he can step into. Kenyon Green brings size, versatility and athleticism that Dallas will be looking for.

I would be happy with the pick. Winning football games has always started in the trenches. Build the offensive line back and give Dak Prescott another second to step up in the pocket and win games.
