In Zac’s Mock Draft #1 I used the Pro Football Focus simulator. This years NFL draft is all over the place with player rankings among the different football scouting websites. To bring in different perspectives, I used the Pro Football Network Draft Simulator. If you believe that these are not “accurate” or players are falling too far, it was the simulator, not me.

24.) Tyler Linderbaum, Iowa C

If he is there for the Cowboys at 24, Tyler Linderbaum will be the pick. Tyler Biadasz hasn’t been terrible for the team at Center but I see Linderbaum as an immediate upgrade over Tyler Biadasz at the position. On tape, Linderbaum dominated at Iowa and put on a clinic in space and commanding the line. I think an underrated story line to this Cowboys offensive line collapse has been the absence of Travis Frederick. I think Dallas gets about as close as you can to that type of player in Tyler Linderbaum.

56.) Skyy Moore, Western Michigan WR

This is the pick that everyone will tell me is completely impossible. But nothing is impossible and that is why I took Skyy Moore at 56. Despite the James Washington signing the Cowboys will need another WR that can get open and make plays in 2022, Skyy Moore is the guy to do that. Various people don’t believe Moore is an outside receiver in the NFL but his tape says otherwise, he is a very good receiver that gets open and catches a lot of passes. This is the range in which the Cowboys should be looking for a WR to pair with Ceedee Lamb and Michael Gallup for the long term.

Western Michigan Broncos wide receiver Skyy Moore (24) yells after getting a first down during Western Michigan’s home game against Central Michigan at Waldo Stadium in Kalamazoo, Michigan on Saturday, September 28, 2019.

88.) Quay Walker, Georgia LB

The Cowboys just signed Leighton Vander Esch to a 1 year deal and are still pondering the idea of adding Bobby Wagner. But they haven’t added Wagner, so that means they need more depth at the position. This fills the position perfectly, I have heard discussions that he may have been the best LB on the Georgia Bulldogs (yes, better than Nakobe Dean). I hope that is true and I hope he is up for grabs at pick number 88.
